Croatia's opposition-backed president, a critic of the European Union and NATO, has overwhelmingly won another five-year term on Sunday, defeating a candidate from the ruling conservative party in a runoff vote, near-complete official results showed.
Pre-election polling suggest the left-leaning incumbent president Zoran Milanovic, who is an outspoken critic of Western military support for Ukraine, will win.

With nearly all of the votes counted, left-leaning Milanović won 49% while his main challenger Dragan Primorac, a candidate of the ruling conservative HDZ party, trailed far behind with 19%.
