Nazi-obsessed terrorist jailed for stabbing asylum seeker
A Nazi-obsessed terrorist who stabbed an asylum seeker at a hotel in a "protest" against small boat crossings has been jailed for life, with a minimum term of 22 years and eight months.
Callum Parslow's trial was told the 32-year-old tried to publish a "terrorist manifesto" on his X account in the moments before his arrest, in which he claimed he did his "duty to England" by "exterminating" the asylum seeker.
A recent post by the Ukrainian Border Guard Service showing a soldier with Nazi symbols has stirred controversy online. The photo features a soldier with a modified Nazi eagle patch and SS lightning bolts on his weapon. This has raised concerns about far-right influences in Ukraine's military. Social media users have criticized the post, questioning the agency's choice to feature such imagery.

Three Lancashire Constabulary officers are facing disciplinary proceedings after 23-year-old mum, Kiena Dawes, took her own life following prolonged abuse by her former partner, 30-year-old Ryan Wellings. Ms Dawes was assaulted by Wellings two weeks before she died. He was arrested, and shortly afterwards, Ms Dawes reported him to the police for contacting her – a breach of his bail conditions. An officer had dismissed her complaint, and she was also urged to delete a Facebook post in which she had written about the abuse she’d endured. This all left her feeling, “unsupported” by police and she was upset that Wellings had not been, “locked up”. On Monday, Wellings was found guilty of assault and prolonged domestic abuse at Preston Crown Court but was cleared of manslaughter. Report by Jonesia. Five men who trapped their victims through the dating app Grindr have been jailed after being convicted of a series of violent robberies. UK retail sales unexpectedly declined last month in a blow to the sector during the all-important festive shopping season, new official figures show. The volume of retail sales – which measures the quantity bought – fell by 0.3% in December, the Office for National Statistics said.
