Nominations for the 2025 Oscars are unveiled with Emilia Pérez , Wicked , and The Brutalist coming in on top.

After being delayed due to the California wildfires, Oscar nominations have officially been announced, breaking new records and revealing major snubs.

Emilia Pérez is leading the race with 13 nominations total, breaking the record for most nominations for an international film in Oscars history.

Other films nominated for Best Picture include I'm Still Here , Nickel Boys , The Substance , Anora , and Dune: Part Two .

While most of this year's films earned well-deserved recognition, many fans feel that various actors and films were snubbed.

Italian filmmaker Luca Guadagnino came up short with 0 nominations for his highly acclaimed films Challengers and Queer .

Nicole Kidman and Angelina Jolie were notably absent from the Leading Actress category after earning Golden Globe nominations for their roles in Babygirl and Maria , respectively.

Jamie Lee Curtis, Margaret Qualley, and Selena Gomez were also surprisingly left out of the Supporting Actress category, similar to Denzel Washington who did not earn a Supporting Actor nomination for Gladiator II .
