Starmer insists growth is government's 'number one priority'

Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer has insisted that growth is the government's 'number one priority'.

The prime minister refused to confirm the widely expected announcement on support for Heathrow expansion but said his government would back pro-growth policies.

Starmer also said it was important to focus resources on the threats faced by the UK following the sentencing of Southport killer, Axel Rudakubana, to a minimum of 52 years in jail.
