Trump has issued a stark warning following the arrest of pro-Palestinian activist Mahmoud Khalil, calling it the "first of many to come." Khalil, a former Columbia University student and lawful U.S. resident, was detained by federal immigration agents and taken to a Louisiana detention facility. His arrest has sparked outrage among civil rights groups, who accuse the government of using immigration laws to suppress criticism of Israel. Trump, in a fiery Truth Social post, claimed that many demonstrators are "paid agitators" and vowed to deport those who support "terrorism." Khalil’s deportation has been temporarily halted by a federal judge, with a court hearing set for Wednesday.
