Telangana Tunnel Tragedy: Workers Trapped After Roof Collapse | CM Revanth Reddy on Inspects

Tragedy struck in Telangana's Nagarkurnool district as the roof of the Srisailam Left Bank Canal (SLBC) tunnel collapsed, leaving eight workers feared trapped.

The incident occurred due to the slippage of a concrete segment used to seal seepage at the 14-km tunnel inlet.

Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy is closely monitoring the situation and has directed officials to expedite rescue operations.

SDRF and NDRF teams have been deployed, while local authorities, including ministers and senior officials, are on-site to oversee the rescue efforts.

The government has assured full support to the affected families.
