The suspended Labour MP Mike Amesbury has pleaded guilty to assault at Chester Magistrates' Court after he was charged with punching a man to the ground during an alleged assault last October. The government has today launched an eight-week consultation on a major reform of Britainâs railways. These measures include the creation of Great British Railways, a public sector body which will manage rail infrastructure and train operations.
