Lady Gaga is finally opening up about her long-lost alter ego: Jo Calderone.

Jo's debut to the world was on the September 2010 cover of Japanese Men's Vogue and then was also featured in the "Yoü and I" music video.

Gaga then made a notable appearance as the alter ego, who is described as "a mechanic from Sicily" at the 2011 MTV Music Video Awards.

Now the 'Born This Way' singer is revealing to Them that the persona helped her come to terms with how she viewed men at the time.
