Women's Day 2025: How Varanasi’s Rita Tiwari is Empowering Women Through Self-Employment | OneIndia

Women's Day 2025: In Varanasi, women are finding new employment opportunities through products made from cow dung and cow urine.

This initiative has enabled women to earn a steady income from home.

Due to the growing popularity of cow dung and cow urine-based products, employment in this sector is also increasing.

Rita Tiwari from Varanasi started this movement and has since helped numerous women become self-reliant.

She began this work in 2005, initially making cow dung diyas (lamps) and incense sticks.

Over time, she also received formal training in the field.
