NASA Astronauts Return Home After Nine Months in Space, Lollapalooza Reveals 2025 Headliners, Saw XI Experiencing Major Delays i
NASA astronauts touch down on Earth after an unexpected nine months in space.
Astronauts Suni Williams and Butch Wilmore launched on the first-ever crewed flight of Boeing's Starliner spacecraft in June with the intent of staying a week at the International Space Station.
However, when the Boeing vehicle experienced technical issues while docking, NASA determined it was too risky and decided to return it home unmanned a few months later.
The astronauts spent a total of nine months at the International Space Station before their return yesterday afternoon.
The pair traveled back to Earth with astronauts Aleksandr Gorbunov and Nick Hague, landing in the SpaceX Crew Dragon capsule off the coast of Tallahassee, Florida, just before 6 PM.
Olivia Rodrigo, Sabrina Carpenter, Tyler, The Creator, Doechii, Luke Combs, and more to headline Lollapalooza 2025.
The annual 4-day music festival is set to take place from July 31 to August 3 in Chicago.
However, a day-to-day schedule has yet to be revealed.
Other headliners include Gracie Abrams, Korn, and Rüfüs Du Sol, with appearances by other stars such as Cage the Elephant, Dom Dolla, Bleachers, Wallows, T-Pain, FINNEAS, and so many more.
Pre-sale for the festival kicks off tomorrow, Thursday, March 20.
Saw XI shelved in early stages of production, creating uncertainty for the franchise's future.
The film, which saw its first draft in the Spring of 2024, has seemingly been stalled, according to screenwriter Patrick Melton.
While it is unclear exactly what is causing the delay, in speaking with The Hollywood Reporter , Melton stated, 'It has nothing to do with the creative or anything else,' claiming that there is 'inter-squabbling between producers and Lionsgate.'
Word of the franchise's eleventh film first made its rounds in December of 2023, when Lionsgate announced director Kevin Greutert would be at the helm of the project with sights set on a September 2024 release.
The news came shortly after the success of Saw X , which earned $112 million in box office revenue.
However, the film has reportedly not made any progress since May, and it is unclear what the future of the franchise looks like at this time.
