Signal Tiny Blunder or War Planning Big Disaster? How About a Deep State Op?
Editor-in-chief of the Atlantic magazine, Jeffrey Goldberg revealed that he knew about U.S. airstrikes against Houthi rebels in Yemen hours before they happened because he was added to a Signal messaging app group chat where members of the Trump administration appeared to be discussing the plans.
Goldberg said he received a Signal connection request on March 11 from someone whom he believed to be national security adviser Michael Waltz.
Two days later, he said he was added to a conversation called “Houthi PC small group” with what appeared to be 18 members of the administration, including Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth and Vice President JD Vance, where they talked about plans to bomb Yemen.
The question I will ask Jared Knott, Historian, author of Tiny Blunders/Big Disasters Book 2: The Many Tiny Mistakes That Changed the World Forever, and a decorated combat infantry officer in Vietnam in the First Air Cavalry Division, is was this a “tiny blunder” or a “big disaster?”
