Dr. Kildare Actor Richard Chamberlain Dies at 90, John Cena Reveals Prior Skin Cancer Diagnosis in Neutrogena Partnership

Actor Richard Chamberlain, known for 60's drama Dr. Kildare , dies at 90.

The beloved actor, best known for his role as Dr. Kildare in the hit NBC drama of the same name, passed away on Saturday due to complications following a stroke.

Throughout his career, Chamberlain starred in various television shows and films, most notably 1973's The Three Musketeers , 1975's The Count of Monte Cristo, 1980's Shōgun, and 1983 miniseries The Thorn Birds .

He was a 3-time Golden Globe award-winner across six total nominations, also earning four Emmy noms amongst other awards.

Today, Chamberlain would have celebrated his 91st birthday.

John Cena reveals past skin cancer diagnosis in new ad with Neutrogena.

The actor and WWE legend has partnered with Neutrogena for their latest ad campaign to promote the brand new Ultra Sheer Mineral Face Liquid Sunscreen.

The cosmetics company played into Cena's trademark 'You Can't See Me' catchphrase to promote the transparency of the formula, releasing a series of commercials in which Cena is invisible to others.

While participating in the campaign, Cena spoke to Forbes about the importance of sunscreen use, revealing that he himself has dealt with skin cancer in the past, saying 'I took very poor care of myself.

But I love the sun.

I love to be outdoors.

I love the feeling the sun gives me, and I just always thought it wouldn't affect me.

I learned the hard way that you need to wear your sunscreen.'

He spoke of two separate spots that he had removed a year apart from each other, on his chest and on his shoulder.

In doing the campaign and partnering with Neutrogena, Cena hopes to become an advocate for skin protection and regular dermatologist visits.
