Costa Rica's Nobel laureate slams US after visa revocation
Oscar Arias, former Costa Rican President (1986-1990, 2006-2010) and Nobel Peace Prize laureate, has expressed shock over the US revoking his visa, describing the move as a sign of autocracy under Donald Trump.
The move comes as Costa Rica's current government aligns itself with Trump's strict immigration policies.
Arias, celebrated for his efforts to end civil wars in Central America, accused the US of silencing dissent and compared Trump's leadership style to that of a "Roman emperor."
