POLL: 46% Say Trump’s China Tariffs Help NEITHER Side | Just 16% Believe They Benefit U.S. Alone
A new YouGov poll reveals growing public skepticism toward President Trump's China tariff policy.
Only 16% of Americans believe the U.S. will benefit from his strategy, while 46% think neither country will gain long-term.
The poll shows deep partisan divides, with 61% of Democrats saying no one benefits, and only 29% of Republicans believing tariffs help only the U.S. Meanwhile, nearly half of all Americans see trade with China as “very important” for the U.S. economy.
As Trump doubles down, public doubt continues to grow.
Chaos broke out at a town hall hosted by Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene in Georgia, where multiple protesters were forcibly removed—two of them tased by police. Bodycam footage captured officers shouting commands and deploying stun guns as tensions escalated. Protesters chanted “Free García!” in reference to a controversial deportation case.
