Miliband: No zonal energy pricing if bills rise
Ed Miliband insists the government will not split the UK’s energy market into regions if it causes bills to rise.
Under the plan, different areas of the country would pay different rates for their electricity, based on local supply and demand.
The energy secretary says, “my test on any change we make is will it cut bills and will it cut bills across the country”.
