Deadly violence erupted in Jaramana, a Druze and Christian-majority suburb near Damascus, after a leaked audio recording allegedly insulting Islamic religious figures triggered outrage.

Yemen's Ansarullah leader Abdul-Malik al-Houthi declared the Bab al-Mandab Strait and Arabian Sea closed to Israeli and American ships.
