MP assembly polls: Congress complains to Election Commission against CM Chouhan, PM Modi
The Madhya Pradesh Congress has lodged a complaint with the state election commission against Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and Prime Minister Narendra Modi for delivering a political speech at a government event in Chitrakoot. The Congress alleges that Chouhan, who is a candidate for the forthcoming state assembly polls, violated the model code of conduct by giving a political speech. They also raised concerns about staff officers being deprived of their voting rights due to election duties. The state is scheduled to hold elections on November 17.
