SC/ST parliamentary committee satisfied with condition of both communities in Assam: Panel chief

Kirit Premjibhai Solanki, chairperson of the parliamentary committee on Welfare of Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes, expressed satisfaction with the social conditions of these communities in Assam. He emphasized the need for improvement in education, employment, and the elimination of practices like manual scavenging. Solanki praised Assam for having less discrimination based on caste compared to other parts of the country. Solanki also highlighted the importance of awareness and eradication of sickle cell anemia among tribals.
