IT raids premises of Congress leader Ponguleti Reddy in poll-bound Telangana
Thursday, 9 November 2023 Income Tax officials conducted raids on the residence of Congress leader Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy in Telangana's Khammam district ahead of the upcoming assembly polls. Reddy, a former member of the Lok Sabha, recently joined Congress from BRS. Meanwhile, Congress leader Mohammed Azharuddin stated that there is a Congress wave in Telangana and that BJP has no real impact in the state. The elections in Telangana will take place on November 30. In the previous Assembly election, TRS won 88 of the 119 seats, while the Congress won only 19 seats.
