Monday, 20 November 2023 The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has announced that it will eliminate the four percent reservation for Muslims in Telangana and distribute it among Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, and Other Backward Classes. Union home minister Amit Shah made the announcement while campaigning in Telangana. Shah also announced reservations for the Madiga community under the SC category. He criticized Telangana chief minister K Chandrashekhar Rao for not celebrating Hyderabad Liberation Day, claiming it was due to fear of AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi. The Telangana Assembly elections will take place on November 30.
