Probe haughty excise officers ‘defeating’ court order: HC

IndiaTimes Monday, 25 December 2023
The final road crossing in Mathura, Sadbhavana Deeg Gate police outpost, has added the word 'sadbhavana' last year on public demand. With litigations and the Allahabad high court allowing a survey of the Shahi Idgah Mosque, Muslim families in Mathura are wary of change. The place around Shri Krishna Janmabhoomi complex and Shahi Idgah resembles a fortress with heavy security. In 2021, an application was moved before a Mathura court by Sri Krishna Janmabhumi Mukti Aandolan Samiti offering Muslim parties a larger piece of land if they agreed to demolish the Shahi Idgah.
