Jammu and Kashmir Congress leaders are meeting party leadership in Delhi to discuss election preparedness for the 2024 Lok Sabha polls. Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge, Rahul Gandhi, and KC Venugopal will be present. The Congress disagrees with the abrogation of Article 370, which granted special status to Jammu and Kashmir. The Supreme Court has mandated assembly polls in Jammu and Kashmir by September 2022. A five-judge bench upheld the validity of the government's decision to abrogate Article 370.
