Monday, 1 January 2024 The Centre on Monday listed Canada-based Babbar Khalsa International (BKI) operative and gangster Satwinder Singh alias Goldy Brar, accused in cases relating to extortion and targeted killings in Punjab and smuggling of high-grade arms, ammunition and explosive materials via drones from across India’s western border for such killings, as a ‘terrorist’ in the Fourth Schedule to the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, 1967 (UAPA). Goldy is closely associated with gangster Lawrence Bishnoi and also has links with BKI operative Lakhbir Singh alias Landa.

Goldy Brar, the prime suspect in the Murder case of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala, has been fatally shot in the US, according to media reports. According to reports, citing American news channels, Brar, who was declared a terrorist by the Home Ministry, was attacked on Tuesday evening in Fairmont and Holt Avenue. Unidentified attackers allegedly opened fire on Brar and his buddy as they were standing outside his house and then fled the area. Two people were taken to the hospital where one of them died.
