Imran Khan Disqualified For Five Years From Parliament By Pakistan Election Commission
Tuesday, 8 August 2023 Imran petitioned the Islamabad High Court (IHC) earlier today, arguing that the trial court's decision was "not sustainable" and "liable to be set aside" and that the case should be dismissed.
Former Pakistani prime minister Imran Khan has been sentenced to three years in prison and banned from politics for five years after being accused of illegally selling state gifts. Khan himself has called on his supporters to protest.
