Britain to continue trade talks with India despite murder of Sikh leader in Canada

The UK will continue trade talks with India despite allegations made by Canada regarding the Indian government's involvement in the murder of a Sikh separatist leader in Canada. The UK government is in close contact with Canada about the allegations but stated that they will not impact the trade talks. The UK aims to finalize a free trade deal with India as it establishes itself as an independent trading nation post-Brexit. Both countries have made progress in recent months, raising hopes for a deal before next year's elections.
