Tunisia rejects EU financial aid, casting doubt on an immigration deal

Tunisian President Kais Saied has rejected financial support from the European Union, stating that the amount offered is too small and contradicts a previous agreement. The EU had announced 127 million euros in aid to Tunisia to combat illegal immigration, but Saied argues that this conflicts with the memorandum of understanding signed in July, which included a pledge of 1 billion euros in aid.
