IndiaTimes Thursday, 19 October 2023
Hundreds of demonstrators gathered in Washington to demand a cease-fire in the Israel-Hamas war, resulting in around 300 arrests and restricted access to Capitol Hill. The rally, organized by Jewish anti-Zionist groups, included testimonials from Palestinians in Gaza and prayers led by rabbis. Protesters chanted for a cease-fire and sang in Hebrew and English. Demonstrations are not allowed inside congressional buildings, and the Capitol Police arrested around 300 protesters.
