Taliban's restrictions on women in Afghanistan receive global criticism at UNGA session

The restrictions imposed on Afghan women by the Taliban regime have received criticism from Turkey's Permanent Representative to the United Nations (UN) and the Charge d'Affaires of the Afghanistan Permanent Mission to the UN. They expressed concern about the erosion of human rights, particularly for women and girls, and emphasized the importance of respecting fundamental rights, including the right to education. Turkey pledged continued assistance to the victims of the earthquake in Herat as well.
