Kosovo PM accuses Serbian minister of leading 'paramilitary terrorist group'
Monday, 23 October 2023 Kosovo's prime minister has claimed a Serbian minister heads a gang he called a "paramilitary terrorist group" in comments which risk increasing tensions in the region.
Serbia applied for European Union membership in 2009 and was accepted as an official candidate country in 2012 but since then little progress has been made towards joining the bloc with Aleksandar Vučić’s government accused of democratic backsliding.
