China urges G7 to stop 'inciting confrontation'

China has expressed dissatisfaction with G7 foreign ministers' comments on China-related issues and called for an end to incitement of confrontation. The G7 nations urged China to address non-market policies, not support Russia in the Ukraine conflict, maintain peace in the Taiwan Strait, and grant autonomy to Hong Kong. China strongly protested against attempts to curb its actions regarding Taiwan. Criticism of Taiwan and Hong Kong has been a sensitive issue for Beijing.
