Pakistan opens new border crossings to expedite Afghans' repatriation

IndiaTimes Monday, 13 November 2023
Pakistan has opened three new border crossings to facilitate the repatriation of undocumented Afghan nationals who have been ordered to leave the country or face expulsion. This move affects over 1 million Afghans, many of whom Pakistan claims are involved in militant attacks and crime. More than 280,000 Afghan nationals have already left Pakistan since the new policy was announced in October. The mass migration has strained relations between Pakistan and Afghanistan.
