Turkey's Erdogan labels Israel a 'terror state', slams its backers in West
Thursday, 16 November 2023 Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan criticized Israel, calling it a "terror state" that commits war crimes and violates international law in Gaza. He accused Israel of conducting a military campaign with unlimited support from the West and called for Israeli leaders to be tried for war crimes. Erdogan also reiterated that Hamas is a political party and not a terrorist organization. He will be visiting Germany to meet Chancellor Olaf Scholz and called on Germany to support a ceasefire in Gaza. Turkey has been sending humanitarian aid and medical support to Gaza, including bringing cancer patients to Turkey for treatment.
