Ecuador president to post Vice President in Israel for peace talks

IndiaTimes Saturday, 25 November 2023
Ecuador's vice president, Veronica Abad, will travel to Tel Aviv to pursue a peace agreement between Israel and the Palestinians. President Noboa assigned Abad the role of collaborator for peace and preventing the escalation of the conflict. This decision highlights Ecuador's commitment to international peace and stability in a region affected by protracted conflicts. Despite rumors of a distancing between Noboa and Abad, they have both carried out official activities since being sworn in. The announcement comes during a fragile ceasefire between Israel and Hamas.
