Central European interior ministers agree to step up fight against illegal migration at EU borders

Interior ministers from six EU countries, including the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Slovakia, Austria, and Germany, agreed to enhance efforts to protect the bloc from illegal immigration and target human smugglers operating on its borders. The ministers gathered in Szeged, Hungary, near the bloc's border with Serbia, to address the increasing pressure from the Balkan migration route. They emphasized the need for cooperation in preventing migrants from entering the EU illegally and protecting the external borders.
