Schedule for Pakistan general election to be announced 56 days before polling date
Saturday, 2 December 2023 The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) is set to disclose the timetable for the general election 56 days prior to the polling day, around December 14. The chief justices of Sindh, Lahore, and Peshawar High Courts have denied judicial officers for appointment as district returning officers (DROs) and returning officers (ROs), while the response from the Balochistan High Court is awaited. The ECP has scheduled a meeting to review preparations for polling and the implementation of decisions made at the previous meeting.
