Israel battles Hamas in south Gaza city

IndiaTimes Thursday, 7 December 2023
Israeli troops battled Hamas militants in Khan Yunis, where Yahya Sinwar, a suspected mastermind of the October 7 attacks, is believed to be hiding. The offensive across Gaza continued with Israeli forces breaking through Hamas's defenses in the city. Hamas claimed to have destroyed military vehicles in Khan Yunis and Beit Lahia. Israeli troops found and destroyed tunnel shafts in the heart of Khan Yunis. The spread of the war into the south of Gaza has left displaced civilians with nowhere to go.
