Iraq blames foreign firms for delay in crude export restart from Iraqi Kurdistan region

IndiaTimes Monday, 25 March 2024
Iraq’s oil ministry has pointed fingers at foreign companies in Iraqi Kurdistan for the delay in resuming crude exports. The ministry states that these companies, in collaboration with Kurdish authorities, have not yet submitted contracts to revise and issue new ones in compliance with the constitution and the law. This delay has hindered the process of restarting oil exports from the region, as per the ministry's statement.
