Strong earthquake rocks entire island of Taiwan, collapsing buildings; Tsunami alert issued

A 7.4-magnitude earthquake hit Taiwan's east on Wednesday morning, according to the US Geological Survey, with major aftershocks hitting the island. "The earthquake may trigger a tsunami that will affect Taiwan. A tsunami warning is issued to remind people in coastal areas to be vigilant," said an emergency message issued by authorities.
