Attacks on Zaporizhzhia nuclear plant significantly increase accident risk, IAEA head says

The chief of the UN's atomic watchdog agency criticized a drone strike on a nuclear reactor at the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant in Ukraine, warning of a heightened risk of a nuclear accident. Rafael Mariano Grossi confirmed three direct hits on the reactor's containment structures. While Russia accused Ukraine of the attack, the UN agency refrained from assigning blame. Kyiv authorities refrained from immediate comment on the incident.
