He is currently serving as Deputy Leader of the Opposition in Rajya Sabha, from Rajasthan Rajya Sabha Constituency. He is a nine-time Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) from Rampur Khas and Former Cabinet Minister in Government of Uttar Pradesh.
