On Tuesday, a sharp exchange of words took place between Rajya Sabha Chairman Jagdeep Dhankar and Congress MP Mallikarjun Kharge. The heated words arose when Dhankhar sarcastically suggested that Congress MP Jairam Ramesh should take charge of disciplining party MPs. Dhanhkar made this comment while addressing Congress leader Pramod Tiwari, advising him not to state unverified facts. In response, Jairam Ramesh said, "it would be authenticated." In a retort to Dhankar's remark, Kharge, who is also the Congress chief, urged him not to "bring in the Varna (caste) system."
