Vistara set to merge with Air India as Cabinet to decide on FDI

The Cabinet was expected to give final approval for Vistara's merger into Air India, clearing the FDI by Singapore Airlines into AI. Following this, SIA will acquire a 25.1% stake in the merged airline by investing Rs 2,059 crore. Tatas will retain 74.9% stake. Passengers will be notified post-Diwali about their flight details on Air India.
