Stars and public figures came together in Los Angeles on Thursday for the FireAid wildfire benefit concert, which supported relief for the wildfires that tore through the city in January.
At the Oscars 2025, Hollywood takes a step toward wildfire recovery by honoring Los Angeles firefighters who battled the devastating January blazes. In a surprising move, this year’s Oscars gift bags include a one-year membership to a disaster recovery service, helping wildfire survivors rebuild their lives. Nominees also get 10 extra memberships to gift to those affected. As some in Hollywood called for the cancellation of awards season due to the destruction, this gesture aims to support the community.
