Thursday, 7 September 2023 Labour is calling for an independent inquiry into how a prisoner was able to escape from a London jail while awaiting trial for terror offences.

A man has appeared in court charged with two counts of murder after the discovery of human remains in suitcases in Bristol, and, at a flat in west London. 34-year-old Yostin Andres Mosquera appeared at Wimbledon Magistrates Court earlier today. Police have named the two victims as 62-year-old Albert Alfonso and 71 year old Paul Longworth who lived together at a flat in Shepherds Bush. The suspect had been staying with them.
