Ofsted inspections paused following headteacher's suicide
Tuesday, 2 January 2024 Ofsted inspections have been suspended until later this month as plans are put in place for mental health training following the suicide of a headteacher, the watchdog's new boss has said.
The prime minister says the scrapping of single-phrase inspection headline grades for schools in England will be a relief for parents.
