All children taken to Alder Hey hospital after Southport attack 'safely discharged'
Tuesday, 6 August 2024 All the children under the care of Alder Hey following last Monday's Southport attack have now been "safely discharged home", the children's hospital has said.
Prime Minister Keir Starmer has said Britain faces a "new and dangerous threat" in light of the Southport attack in July 2024. Speaking a day after Axel Rudakubana, 18, pleaded guilty to murdering three young girls at a Taylor Swift-themed dance class, Starmer warned of the rising threat of 'extreme violence perpetrated by loners, misfits, young men accessing all manner of material'.
