Thursday, 15 August 2024 The UK has "one of the highest rates of drug deaths in Europe", the National Crime Agency has said - as it warned about a rise in the use of "incredibly strong" synthetic opioids.
Chris Philp has accused Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer of being "more interested in his cronies" than making appointments with integrity. The shadow home secretary's comments come after Tulip Siddiq quit as a Treasury minister over links to her aunt's political movement in Bangladesh.
