Germany: Munich police shoot suspect near Israeli Consulate
Thursday, 5 September 2024 () Police in Munich said officers fired at a person "obviously carrying a firearm" in the area around Karolinenplatz in the city center. It's not far from the Israeli Consulate and a museum focused on the World War II era.
Israel’s Foreign Ministry said the consulate in Munich was closed when the shooting occurred and that no consulate staff had been affected by the incident.
