Former soldier Daniel Khalife says arrest for spying was 'like punch in the face'
Thursday, 31 October 2024 A former soldier has told a jury it was like "being punched in the face" when he was arrested for spying for Iran, insisting: "I'm certainly not a terrorist or a traitor."
British former soldier Daniel Khalife has been jailed for 14 years and three months at Woolwich Crown Court. In November, the 23-year-old was found guilty of spying for Iran and escaping from HMP Wandsworth.
