Khalife entered 'new phase' of spying when he was on US exercise, court hears
Wednesday, 13 November 2024 Daniel Khalife, the former soldier accused of spying for Iran, entered a "new phase" of his relationship with his handlers during a series of calls from a base in the US, a court has heard.
British former soldier Daniel Khalife has been jailed for 14 years and three months at Woolwich Crown Court. In November, the 23-year-old was found guilty of spying for Iran and escaping from HMP Wandsworth. Khalife had been serving in the British Army when he collected sensitive information and passed it to Iranian agents. Report by Jonesia.
